Amidst the beautiful night breeze on the Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool patio Foster the People delivered a danceable and energetic set to the post Coachella crowd. Singer, Mark Foster worked the crowd making full use of the stage while singing and cracking jokes to the audience. Tears for Fears influences could be heard during their joyous songs and even the slower moments still contained a danceable groove.
There was no doubt which songs were the hits as not only did the audience seem more engaged but even the band seemed tighter and more energetic when it was time for the big ones. There was a vast age range and I even noticed a young girl who couldn’t be more than 10 who seemed to be ready to jump out of her skin being unable to contain her enthusiasm with an ear to ear smile as she furiously texted what I can only imagine were her envious friends.
